The position is based in Lausanne – EPFL Innovation Park.

We are currently looking for a Computer Vision Engineer

 

Your mission

  • Design and develop computer vision algorithm for real-time analysing data from the image sensor in combination with data from other sensors
  • Prototype computer vision algorithm for (but not limited to) real-time object determination, motion tracking, and sensor orientation determination
  • Implement existing computer vision and machine learning solution as well as develop tailored algorithms
  • Optimize algorithm performance for low computational power devices
  • Collaborate with optical scientists and electrical engineers

 

Your profile

  • Master’s degree or above in Computer Science or Engineering with a focus on Computer Vision & Machine Learning or related field
  • Background in image analysis, computer vision, machine learning or in a related field
  • Industrial experience in all stages of computer vision system development life cycle is an asset
  • Solid knowledge of Python and C++
  • Experience working with computer vision / machine learning open source libraries and tools (OpenCV, PyTorch, TensorFlow, etc)
  • Experience with Software design
  • Experience with image sensors and imaging systems
  • Experience with algorithm optimization for low-power devices with limited computing power
  • Experience with algorithm developement for DSP and FPGA is a great asset
  • Knowledge of CPU/GPU programming and optimization, related experience working with parallel computing libraries and tools (CUDA, etc) is a plus
  • Experience with OpenCL and Matlab is a plus
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboration within the interdisciplinary team
  • Good problem solving and communication skills
  • Proficient level in English
